#BigBreaking Forces lay siege to Pattan village in north Forces lay siege to Pattan village in north KashmirPattan, March 11: (KNO)Government forces on Monday launched a cordon-and -search- operation (CASO) at Tantrapora village of Palahan area in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Reports reaching News agency KNO said that a joint team of army’s 29RR, SOG personnel laid a siege around the Tantrapora village, following the inputs about the presence of militant in the area.  Immediately after the siege, the forces, according to the Locals, began a door to door search operation. Search operation in the area was on when last reports came in. However, there was no report of any contact between militants and forces.(KNO)

#BigBreaking Encounter starts in Tral : Jk Online News: Tral , March 10: An encounter broke out between militants and govermenrt forces in Pinglish area of Tral in Pulwama district today afternoon. Reports said that a a joint team of Army's 42 RR, 180 Bn of CRPF and Police launched cordon and search operation in Pinglish. As the joint team approached the suspected spot the hiding militants opened indiscriminate firing triggering an encounter. As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped. The encounter was on till the last reports came in.

Congress send names of shortlisted candidates for Lok Sabha polls to High command : Srinagar, March 09 : Ahead of the announcement of notification for the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the state unit of Congress Saturday said that it has forwarded the complete list of shortlist candidates for all the seats from the state to high command for final selection. Sources told Kashmir News service (KNS) that as the Election commission of India is announcing the Lok sabha poll dates for the Lok Sabha elections in all the states including Jammu and Kashmir state in the coming week, the Congress took a lead in announcing its probable candidates for the Parliamentary seats. #Flash Shopian residents protect against alleged Army High_Handedness Jk Online News: The residents of Kellar block in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Saturday staged a demonstration against the alleged high handedness by army men in the area. Reports said scores of residents held protests against the army men stationed at Mastpora village of the district. The area also witnessed a spontaneous shutdown as a mark of protest against the alleged army action. The residents alleged that soldiers frequently summon the local youth to the facility where they are beaten up. The miffed residents also blamed the soldiers of snatching their mobile phones. However, defence spokesperson Rajesh Kalia dismissed the reports.  He said all these allegations were baseless.

#BigBreaking Forces start CASO in several Shopian villages  Government forces on Saturday morning started a cordon-and-search operation in at least three villages of Shopian district. Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 44 RR and special operation group of police (SOG) laid a siege at Shirmal, Heff and Molu Chitragam villages of the district. Reports said, forces are conducting door to door search operation in the area and are checking nearby orchards as well. Meanwhile, officials while confirming this nocturnal CASO said that the cordon was launched following credible inputs about the movement of some suspected militants in the area.(KNO)

SPO Injured As Guns Roar Again Along LoC In PoonchBy special Police Officer (SPO) was injured late Friday evening after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Reports said that the SPO Syed Hussain Shah son of Mohd Sadiq was injured in the shelling at Gunthrian in Gulpur sector. A police officer also confirmed it and said that the injured cop was taken to district hospital for treatment. Chief Medical Officer, Poonch Dr Mumtaz Bhatti told GNS that the SPO suffered serious splinter injuries in his chest and as such has been referred to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment. Meanwhile, the police officer said that earlier the Pakistani army targeted the Indian army’s posts in Qasba and Kerni along the LoC. (GNS)
